Seuraavat koelaulut pidetään syyskuussa. Bassot ja tenorit voivat kuitenkin tiedustella paikkoja myös keskellä kautta. Ilmoittaudu koelauluun ja kerro itsestäsi!
Koelaulut on rento, noin 15 minuuttia kestävä tilaisuus, jossa kuoronjohtaja sekä stemmaviskaalit testaavat äänialaasi (viskaalit vastaavat oman äänensä eli basson, tenorin, alton ja sopraanon laulajista) sekä sävelkorvaasi muutamilla harjoitteilla.
Sinua pyydetään myös esittämään yksi vapaavalintainen kappale ilman säestystä. Aiempaa kuorolaulukokemusta ei edellytetä!
Ei siis haittaa jos olet epävarma esimerkiksi omasta äänialastasi tai esiintyminen jännittää. Jos haluat tutustua meihin ennen koelauluja, kerro tästä toiveesta viestisi yhteydessä, niin kutsumme sinut vierailemaan treeneihin.
Kuoro harjoittelee torstaisin kello 18-21 Helsingin ytimessä, Savolaisen Osakunnan tiloissa Uuden Ylioppilastalon ullakolla eli “Vinnillä”. SOLissa laulaa myös monia ei-savolaisia laulajia, ja toivotamme mistä tahansa kotoisin olevat laulajat lämpimästi tervetulleiksi!
Keväällä 2025 esiinnymme yhdessä Savolaisen Osakunnan orkesterin kanssa. Saamme myös vieraaksemme hollantilaiskuoron, jonka kanssa pidämme yhteiskonsertin. SOLin vastavierailu Hollantiin on vuorossa vuonna 2026.

The next auditions will be held in September. However, basses and tenors may also ask about openings mid-season. Sign up for the audition and tell us about yourself!
Auditions is a casual event lasting about 15 minutes, where the choir conductor and voice leaders (bass, tenor, alto and soprano singers) test your voice and ear for tone with a few exercises.
You will also be asked to perform one song of your choice without accompaniment. Prior experience of choir singing is not required!
So it doesn't matter if you're unsure about your own vocal range, for example, or you're nervous about performing. If you would like to get to know us before the auditions, please let us know about this wish in your message and we will invite you to visit us for rehearsals.
The choir rehearses on Thursdays from 6 pm to 9 pm in the heart of Helsinki, in the premises of Savolainen Osakunta in the attic of the New Student House, or "Vinni". There are also many non-Savonian and non-Finnish singers singing in SOL, and we warmly welcome singers from anywhere!
In the spring of 2025, we will perform together with the Savo nation’s orchestra. We will also host a Dutch choir, with whom we will hold a joint concert. SOL's return visit to the Netherlands is scheduled for 2026.
